We focus on berthing, quick vessel turnaround and safe cargo discharge.  We give you accurate, prompt and regular communications so you are always kept informed and we deliver detailed SOFs to enable effectual laytime calculations. Seaforth offer comprehensive ship agency services for tankers, dry bulk cargo, breakbulk, project, liner, car carriers, cruise and Navy. We also take care of all your ship management needs, including crew handling, spare delivery, provisions, freshwater, bunkers, draft survey, hull inspections, etc.

Local cargo receivers are the end customer in any import supply chain. We understand the importance of this and communicate regularly with them to ensure the service we deliver meets their needs. We provide a proactive approach which prevents unnecessary delays especially in relation to their documentation status. 

 

At Seaforth we also manage cargo discharge/load operations in port and carry out cargo survey, tally and inspection services.

Cargo claims are an inevitable element of trade and we assist customers with claims handling, legal disputes with the port, and provide regular updates on any local regulatory changes that may impact our customers.

We maintain individual seafarer files and ensure quick and transparent invoicing and disbursement.

NAVY & CRUISE

 

FOCUS ON SECURITY & SAFETY

Our unrivalled experience in handling Navy vessels has placed Seaforth firmly as the preferred agent for Navy port calls in East Africa.

 

We are sensitive to the ship's requirements and security concerns. Force protection, timely clearance of spares and mail bags are our priority.


Together with a network of reliable, well equipped port service contractors we give undivided care to the detail of the service we provide, ensuring we deliver an excellent yet cost effective solution. We have very good relations with the port police, marine police and tourist police to assist us in ensuring top level security coverage is provided during a Navy vessel's port call. We also maintain close relations with the various Embassy's defence section staff who advise and guide us on their specific requirements.


Cruise operators have similarly high expectations to Navy vessels and we specifically recognise the sensitivity of passenger requirements and the importance of 'safety first'.

Seaforth has worked with Anadarko and BG Group during their offshore drill campaigns and continues to handle various seismic operators (CCG, Dolphin, WG) and cable laying operations in East Africa.  

 

We understand the safety and time critical essence of these operations and provide B2B dedicated operational personnel on call 24/7.

 

Our knowledge of the nuances of handling specialist vessels, unique cargo and spares clearance is vital as well as experience of handling temporary imports and tax-exempt cargo. 


For vessels calling with security teams and weapons on board, we arrange the necessary firearm permits and co-ordinate the transfer of weapons from ship to port armoury.

We have an advantage of having a branch office in Nairobi which assists and quick processing of firearm permits and spares delivery.
